Gambiarra is a music instrument made for the final assignment of the course Physical Computing at Universitei Twente. It is an instrument that has two different types of sound, percussion and piano. The user can play one, record it and then play the other one on the top of the first one. This interaction is made by using 2 distance sensors, on the sides of the box, and depending how you position your hand in front of them, it plays a sound. There are also eight notes of piano on the top of it, so the person can play and record the melody.
On the top of the instrument, there is a big panel with 20 RGB LEDs that turn on and off according to the rhythm of the music. Making an interaction between audio and image.
